In a large bowl, mix together the steak strips and the seasonings.
Add oil to a large skillet using medium high heat and add in the strips of steak along with the sliced onions.
Cook the steak 3-4 minutes per side, while stirring the onions so they do not burn and you do not overcook the steak strips.
Remove the steak strips when they are done but continue to caramelize the onions
You can cook the onions in another pan, but I like the flavor they give the steaks, plus they make a sort of gravy with the drippings, sometimes I add a tablespoon of butter to make the gravy/sauce a bit richer.
When onions are caramelized, remove onions and the 'gravy' and place on the cooked steak strips.
Serve hot with rice if desired.
