My Thanksgiving Menu

I promised I would print my Thanksgiving Menu and since we celebrated Thanksgiving early, I can honestly say our guests were pleased.  The feedback has been great!

I roasted a Turkey Breast for the Turkey and Cornbread Dressing casserole….. and our main entree was of course Turkey…. and we deep fried a 14 pound bird and had the traditional bread stuffing too.

The good news is most of the cooking was done the day before.  The only thing left to do on Dinner day was to deep fry the turkey, assemble the Pistachio Salad and cranberry relish.  The table was all set out the day before.  I also set out the serving dishes using little post it notes to identify which side dish goes in what serving dish. However, I used stoneware servers to eliminate separate baking and serving dishes. The post it notes were used in the “caddies” for the stoneware bakers. The meal was sit down, but the food was set up buffet style. I sat up a coffee, wine bar and dessert bar separately from bustle of the kitchen. I used candles that were battery operated but gave just the right amount of flicker. The flower pot name cards were made last week and given to each guest as a favor.  Recipes and pics are available in other posts.
