Don’t you just love “Maxine’s” humor…and she has an Open Book test with 4 questions for us today…
First a little background about how the cartoon, “Maxine”, originated. Maybe most of you know this, but if not…please look at the below history from Hallmark Cards.
In the mid 1980s, John was working on Hallmark’s newly launched Shoebox card line when he got the idea for a character who was a composite of his mother, aunts and grandmother. The character appeared on a couple of cards and was known in-house as “John Wagner’s Old Lady.”
The cards quickly grew in popularity. And because the name “John Wagner’s Old Lady” didn’t exactly roll off the tongue, Shoebox soon decided to have a little naming contest. Artists, writers and a few other Hallmarkers were asked to submit a name that fit the character. “Maxine” showed up over and over, and since there was no real evidence of anyone having stuffed the ballot box, it was declared the winner.

Now lets talk about the test…When I was in school, I dreaded hearing the word “test”, although I did like the words “open book test”, which made the odds even better…and when you add the words “4 questions”, I am definitely in. 🙂
I thought it might be fun to take a four question test today!
This test is only 4 questions and they are easy questions and no one is keeping score….it is for fun only. So grab your cup of coffee or tea or your beverage of choice and look at these questions.
You don’t have to write anything down….(this is my kind of test) 😉
Your Yearly Dementia Test…

But, if you said ‘glass,’ go on to Question #4.
# 4. Do not use a calculator for this:
You are driving a bus from New York City to Philadelphia.

In Windsor, 2 people get off and 4 get on.

And, in Camden, 6 people get off and 3 get on.
You then arrive at Philadelphia Station.
Without going back to review, how old is the bus driver?
