Another Day in Paradise….
When the Captain and I first moved to Florida, we would hear this phrase a lot….. “Oh, it is another day in paradise”
I would smile and think perhaps the people calling this “Paradise” were a bit presumptuous.
But now, we are one of “them”….Living here is Paradise!
We are fortunate here in that we do have seasons also…like we did in the Midwest….just not as drastic a change in the weather.
Yes, there have been Hurricanes….though we have yet to be in one….knock on wood! 🙂
But we had Earthquakes and Mudslides in Seattle, Tornadoes and Ice Storms in Kansas and Missouri, Mountain Fires and Snow Storms in New Mexico, and Wind, Heat, Humidity and Tornadoes in Texas too!
And I loved living in those states, but now we live in Paradise!
Recently, the Captain and I spent a day enjoying Paradise.
We visited a Tourist Attraction that had seen better days (it originally opened in 1936) but it is now in the process of a new beginning with a different prospective, which is a good thing as times have changed with all the new technology.
People (or tourists) are not “settling” with the things of yesteryear.
However, I would like to show you pictures we took along the way…of our Paradise…then and now!
The Everglades are beautiful!
Loved this talking parrot…she had lots to say….yes, it was a girl parrot! Smarter perhaps? 😉
Iguana….keeping his distance. Yes, my idea!
Alligators! I told the Captain he could walk across that swinging bridge….I was walking around and not through!
Loved this huge turtle….he just liked to wander around….I didn’t see a rabbit (hare) anywhere! 😉
Lots of fish….domesticated of course!
And the not so domesticated! Love the Dolphins who swim freely in the canals of Cape Coral
as well as out to Sea!
A surprise down every path!
The beautiful Gulf of Mexico!
Relaxing at the Beach!
Fun at the Beach!
Beautiful clouds, Sun going down!
Serenity and the end of the Day!
Thanks for visiting with me today!
Have a Great Wednesday!

I hate it that we didn’t end up in Florida because my husband wanted to be there so bad. He just wasn’t willing to pay so much in taxes for our empty lot knowing it would go up when we built a home there.
