Super Moon and a Steak Dinner at home…and not at a Steak House!
Who doesn’t like a good grilled steak with a baked potato (loaded with sour cream, grated two-cheese blend and green scallions)
AND a garden salad dripping with white rivers of blue cheese dressing
Add in some crispy, umber colored onion strings or straws (not at all fattening) 😉
AND top it off with a healthy dessert of strawberries with a strawberry glaze and a dollop of whipped cream and (drum roll please) ….I am in eatin’ heaven!
(By the way…the dishes listed here are all under “recipes”)…different categories.
Last evening, the Captain and I decided to have a quiet dinner on the Lanai and watch the super moon that was soon to approach our skies.
If you have followed my Blog….you know how the Captain and I love the Moon and the significance it has for us! 🙂
So I found Rib Eye Steaks (on sale)
Pulled out two bakers from my potato bin…
And sweet vidalia onions from my onion bin…..
And cucumber, Roma tomatoes, scallions, and Italian Blend of lettuce (yes, it is the packaged lettuce…this was going to be a “quick” dinner remember?) out of the crisper bin for the garden salad!
A quick and simple dinner for two….to enjoy before the moonlight. 😉
However, last night we had rain and thunder clouds and …well, very little of the super moon!
So tonight, we will try again as the super moon is “supposed” to shine again, providing our Florida skies don’t shine again with another lightning show! 🙂
I have a question for you my dear readers….do you like the easy and simple steak dinner at home…or do you prefer going out to a steak house?
Oh, and did you get to see the super Moon last night?
Enjoy!

Dan and Kat must have a list of everyone who ever stepped through the doors of the hangars, gates, ramps, etc of TWA! 😉
I have heard from a lot of them that I had lost touch with….
good people!
TWA was there when I needed them….and I was just a gal from the Boeing office….;)

We used to love to cook steaks and baked potatoes on the grill, Kari. These days we mostly eat out though.

Hi Sandy…do you know I did not like a grilled steak when I was a kid growing up? I think it was because we had round steak and minute steaks, which I really preferred!
Now, however……;)

Kari, I like Porterhouse steaks and the real thick ones, and I can’t think of the name right now.
Kari, I need you to send me your email address because my computer was struck during the storm on Monday night, and I lost everything.
