The Royals Are Back…

No, not England’s Royals but the Kansas City Royals Baseball Team.

You may remember that the Kansas City Royals made the World Series last October….they didn’t win the most out of 7 games to win it all, but they are winners in my book. 🙂

Last Monday was home game opening season for the baseball season and it was a great series of games….we played the Chicago White Sox and had a clean sweep.

If you are not familiar with baseball lingo, that means we won all games of the 3 game series, which is played on consecutive days (or nights).

That series was followed by another series of games in Los Angeles, playing the Angels….and the Royals did another clean sweep!

That means Kansas City is 6-0.

BUT, there are 162 games in a season, so no one expects any team to go 162-0.

It just ain’t happening…… as there are too many games played consecutively and too many variables, such as injuries, pitcher woes, hitting slumps, fatigue,  …. etc, etc etc.

But, ….the Royals are off to a great start and they go to Minnesota to play the Twins this afternoon. 

Baseball Season means Royal Blue game shirts,…peanuts and hot dogs and afternoon or evening fun watching games.

Since I am no longer a season ticket holder to the Royals games and we live in Florida…I watch from my living room….as the Captain and I are loyal Royals fans.
