My Vices….mani and pedi!
My dear readers….I have yet another confession to make!
I am hooked on mani’s and pedi’s!…or in everyday common language…manicures and pedicures!
You see, I have always referred to mani’s as manicures and pedi’s as pedicures.

But if one wants to be “in the know”…the terms are shortened.
Normally, I am not one to be “in the know”….actually, I am usually the last “to know” and that is just fine with me and my laid back, blind, deaf and dumb persona.
Unless….we are talking about sports, which we are not!
But that is a different story and a different post.

I really enjoy having a manicure and a pedicure as I leisurely sit back and peruse a magazine.
Actually, I can only peruse a magazine if I am sitting in the pedicure chair, because it is hard to turn the pages with my manicurist holding one hand while the other hand is stuffed under a UV light.
But I do get to stare mesmerized by the gold fish in the fish tank!

But you get my drift! Oh, is that an “in the know” term?
Perhaps 40 years ago….see, I am always a day late and a dollar short when it comes to being “hip”.
Ooops another “in the know” term! 🙂
I think I had better stop while I am ahead….and simply tell you that “little one” gives me a manicure and pedicure about once every 3-4 weeks.

I call her “little one” because she is not bigger than a minute but she does a really great job on my nails.

PS, I would show you my pale pink polished toes but believe me….it ain’t pretty! Lets just say I would never make the cut in foot modeling! 😉

I’m a shopaholic when it comes to buying nail varnish… especially when it is OPI (love the names they give their polish).
In fact my daughters tease me about it.. even posting a picture of “Dory” from the film Finding Nemo… with a nail polish related slogan.
I do go for the gels (like you) but only when I am going away on a trip and then it has to be a color I have so my emergency bottle can be packed too…
However, there is nothing nicer than having a pedi. It is so decadent and relaxing.
Not sure how you manage to keep your nails looking so nice with all the work you are doing on the flips though!

Thanks Ross…I know how busy you are and am envious of all your dancing in various countries. You would laugh if you saw my mani right now. the right hand is void of all polish with a few broken nails…looks really bad. While the left hand is almost perfectly manicured (with a little gap at the cuticle) and with pretty pink polish. I try to only show one hand at a time until I can get back to the nail salon. teehehehe!
I love manicures and pedicures, but unfortunately, I can no longer afford them. I had a pedicurist tell me I had lovely slender feet once, and she said it was rare to see feet like mine.
My pedicurist said it was rare to see feet like mine Sandy….but I don’t think she meant lovely slender feet! haha! thanks for stopping by.
