Adorable White Pumpkin Soup Tureens!
Fall is definitely coming…in fact, in some parts of the country, it is here!
I am so excited because I love Fall/Autumn!…and even though we don’t have drastic changes in our Seasons here in Florida, we still have Seasonal changes.
The leaves that have fallen off of my shady lady Olive tree tells me each day, that Fall is getting nearer and nearer.
I have another confession to make….
I have been playing with my dishes again folks…I love tablescapes, as you know… and I have set up a Fall Tablescape, which is perfect for soup on a chilly day.
I found these wonderful white pumpkin soup bowls and tureen with ladle on line a few months ago and I fell in love with them.
They almost match a set of three white pumpkin bowls that I had gotten online at QVC several years before. You can see the white glazed graduated sized pumpkins in last years Thanksgiving tablescape Thanksgiving Dinners and Carving The Bird
Last year, I saw these adorable deer salad plates on the Pier 1 website. I had to smile at the 4 pretty little birds nestled in the antlers…well, I just had to give it up and go with the flow and I ordered them. And when they arrived, I couldn’t keep from smiling. Aren’t they the cutest ever?
I placed the deer salad plates on my Spode Woodland dinner plates. You may remember I used the dinner plates and matching salad plates in the tablescape Changing of the Guard/Seasons!
The flatware is so unique…they are bronze colored and shaped like twigs, which remind me of Fall.
I LOVE IT!!!
AND…the napkins have a cute little orange leaf embroidered in the corner and I used napkin rings in the shape of deer antlers that I also found at Pier 1….the good news is they were on sale!
As usual, at the end of this post, I will list the source of my Fall tablescape for this week.
I am sure you noticed that I just could not cover up the sweet deer’s head with the white pumpkin soup tureen. So the soup tureens all sit a bit off kilter to the side of the dinner plate.
I used rattan chargers which I think which grounds the tablescape and brings the natural woodland theme together.
Along with the Autumn/Fall leaves, I added a pretty Fall ribbon that I casually wove in and among the Fall leaves.
And being from the Midwest….I also had to add a few sunflowers…can’t forget my Kansas roots.
It was beginning to get dark, so I thought you might like to see the candles lit….I really think candles set the mood, don’t they?
So tell me, my dear readers, are you ready for all the Fall colors and leaves and fireplaces and pumpkins and apples and…..
Well, you get the picture!
Happy Fall!

Hi Kari, your love of tablescaping shows because you set gorgeous tables. I love the individual soup tureens sitting off center on those cute deer plates. We both love and enjoy our Spode “woodland” China pattern, it is the perfect dishware for autumn! I hope you are taking care of yourself dear friend!
Thanks Pam….you are too kind. Yay!!! for our Spode dinnerware.
So many cute fall things Kari! Love the white pumpkins and the tureens offset on the adorable deer plates! It must be difficult to tablescape on one foot! Still waiting for soup weather in Alabama!
Jenna
Thanks Jenna, my friend….I rely on wheels to get around. I have two office chairs that I use to wheel around on, carry plates on my lap and of course the Captain is amazing as he assists me constantly.
The little scooter is great for moving from one room to the other also. One has to get creative, but I am thankful that my home is really open and I can wheel into my dish pantry and make a complete circle through my kitchen (around the island). I also put a wooden crate on another office chair (and load it up) and I can push it to the table(s).
We have a dear friend in a wheelchair (permanently) and he has a cookie ministry for hospice and hospitals and nursing homes. He makes cookies all day long and delivers them to the shut-ins. What an inspiration and my temporary inconvenience is nothing.:)
Plus, I am to keep my foot up and rest…which I certainly take advantage of, while the Captain is on a 3 week vacation and at my beck and call.
Thank you for your sweet comments and concern.
Wow, you go girl!! Good for you!! I love your attitude, and how lucky your husband is on vacay right now!!
Love tablescPing as well. I adore what you have created with fall and tureens. The plates with the antlers and birds are so cute. I am loving all but of course I love fall. Where r u in Florida. We will be there in just about 2months. Keep on scraping.
thank you Cookie…we are in SW Florida. We prefer the gulf as it is a bit quieter than the East coast but every area of Florida has something great to offer. Thanks for stopping by.
I always read your blog and your pictures/tablescapes are so pretty and well planned out. I loved the purple plates and goblets yesterday! Sorry you hurt your foot/ankle, it must be a nusciance more than anything. I just bought a pair of short wedge style boots, I better be careful when walking! Wanted to tell you I finished my 1st cycle of immunology (6 weeks) now wait for tests and doctor appt. to see if it did any good. But I am doing good. We got pouring rain here but weather here is nice. Even though I love pumpkins it’s hard for me to let go of summer.
Happy Fall
Linda
Hello my dear sweet friend, I have been wondering about you and you are always in my prayers. I am so glad that first cycle of immunology is behind you now. I am praying that the tests will prove good results. Hugs Always,if I were there, I would be sharing a cuppa tea and some warm apple raisin muffins. 😉 with one foot resting up on a chair of course. haha!
As we get older, I find I my heart hangs on to every season even though stores and homes decorate earlier and earlier.
Keep me posted on your test results.
You know I care, sweet Linda.
