A Christmas Cuppa is always relaxing, at least for me.
I love hot tea, preferable green tea, but really, any hot tea works for me.
It is not that I don’t like coffee, I absolutely do like a good cup of coffee…but I especially love a cuppa hot tea.
The Captain, knowing full well of my love of hot tea, surprised me with the prettiest red tea pot for Christmas tea drinking.
This bright red teapot with a bright green Christmas tree sporting white ornaments is stunningly beautiful.
The pattern is called Waechtersbach West Germany Christmas Tea Pot and it was made from 1976-2012.
The pattern is described as a “strong red and deep green with accents of white, combined with a simple Christmas Tree motif! These pieces are sure to add a festive touch to your house during the holiday season!”
And, my dear readers, I have to admit it does all of that and more.
Now that we have established the almost perfect tea pot, let’s talk about what we fill it with.
As I said earlier, I prefer green tea but I also like just about any tea from chamomile, ginger, to lemon to…well, to Irish Breakfast tea, which is what I am having today.
I do love English teas, such as Earl Grey and I love Irish teas.
No matter what tea I choose….it is always relaxing for me, which is why I drink hot green tea in the early morning with my devotional start of the day.
Do you like hot tea and if so, what time of day do you prefer it?
Is it as relaxing for you as it is for me?
Share your thoughts please, as I sit back and enjoy my gift from the Captain.
He couldn’t have chosen a prettier gift….and don’t you love it when they just seem to know what you would like without too many hints? 🙂 Wink!
Have a great and Blessed Day.

What a pretty pot! I also love the Union Jack plate. May you have a wonderfully blessed holiday season.

thanks Laura, and the very best of holiday wishes to you and your family.

Delighted to see you drinking Irish breakfast tea Kari. It’s hilarious really that we talk about Irish tea as if it’s grown here but I suppose the blend is to our taste. My mother used to say ‘you could trot mice on it’ if the tea was too strong. 😃
Kari says
I love that saying from your mother Mags! And thanks for stopping by. I hope you are all ready for Christmas, I have been a bit slower than usual this year in my decorating and I am blaming my broken foot that happened in September ….I don’t know how long I can milk that little incident, but I will definitely be using it as long as I can. LOL Have a beautiful and Happy Christmas and New Years in your lovely Ireland or are you going to Australia for the Holidays? Hugs and Love Always

Kari, I love your teapot! That is absolutely adorable! For some reason, I have never acquired a taste for tea, hot or cold. And being from the deep south, it’s not a good thing to snub tea…LOL I’m not a coffee drinker either. I will enjoy some hot chocolate during the winter months, but I usually drink water or the occasional coke. Have a great one! Love and hugs!
Kari says
I have always loved cokes…lime coke, cherry coke or just plain coke, especially if I am eating pizza, Benita. So I hear ya. If we are in a restaurant, I always order water only….and I carry a small thermos of water where ever I go. But my early, early mornings are hot tea! Thanks for stopping by my sweet friend.

What a beautiful and thoughtful gift. I drink more tea than coffee and green tea, Earl Grey and chamomile are my favorites. I wish you lots of peaceful and happy morning moments.
Kari says
Thanks Sandra, and the same to you. Hugs

The Captain did well with that sweet tea pot that he gave you! I like a cup of hot tea, but I am more of a coffee and espresso girl. I like all of the English teas and is there anything better than high tea in the afternoon? Merry Thursday my friend!
Kari says
Right back at ya Pam…I still have a few last minute things on my list, checking it twice now, so relaxing with a cuppa hot tea is always on my list. Have a Blessed day.

How nice of the Captain to get you such a pretty gift that besides being useful is pretty to look at. I’m not a tea drinker, love coffee, any time day or night. Guess it’s because I’ve always drank it instead of tea. Just today finished an immunotherapy and so one more at end of Dec. and then will see doctor to see if it’s working. Right now I am happy, 2 free weeks no treatment, tests or doctor’s. Let’s say that’s a nice Christmas present.!
Merry Christmas to you and your Captain.
Linda
Kari says
Linda, I am so glad you have 2 weeks free of any treatment sweet friend. I am praying the immunotherapy is working and you can be done with that “stuff”!!
Special Christmas hugs….you are always in my thoughts and prayers. Merry Christmas!!
the Painted Apron says
I have a mug just like your teapot, I must remember to get it out for a cuppa!
Kari says
Jenna, I love the bright red color…wish I had a matching mug now that you mentioned it. LOL

I love hot tea in the afternoon. I even have my husband joining me now. I fixed him tea with honey when he had a bad cold and now he’s hooked!😀 We are big coffee drinkers in the morning. We sometimes have a cup of decaf tea in the evening if our younger daughter and granddaughter are here. They only drink tea. No coffee for them.
Merry Christmas. I hope your foot will be all well by Christmas.
