Butterscotch Brownies

Ingredients
  

  • 1 6 ounce pkg Butterscotch chips (morsels)
  • 1/4 cup butter (melted)
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup pecans (chopped)
  • 3/4 cup chocolate chips (morsels)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray 6X8 pan with cooking spray or grease with butter (You can use whatever size pan you like, depends on how thick you want your brownie 8X8, 9X9 or 9X13 pan)
    Melt the butterscotch chips in a microwave or in a double boiler (I like to use a large measuring cup).
  • Stir the chips until smooth and add the melted butter and brown sugar to the chips. Cool slightly before adding eggs and vanilla (don't cook the eggs with a too hot mixture)
  • Add the flour, baking powder and salt to the butterscotch mixture, stirring well
  • Add the chocolate chips and nuts of your choice (if desired)
  • Bake at 350 degree oven for about 25 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean
  • After removing from oven, sprinkle a few chocolate chips on to and cut into squares
