My dear readers…let’s talk briefly about setting your dinner table.
There is nothing like setting a pretty table and it doesn’t have to cost any money…just use what you have around the house or can collect in your garden.
Below are a few Fall Tablescapes…some very plain and all very easy to do. . .
Relax and enjoy the Holidays and you can make it pretty too.
Tablescapes don’t have to be something you have to go out and purchase. You can make your table look good with placemats, napkins or even a burlap table runner. I have been known to take a yard of material and place it diagonally across the table and set my table around the theme of the material. I don’t mend/seam edges….I just make sure there are no obvious threads hanging down.
OR…if it is your style to grab paper plates and cups….then by all means, do so! Mix and match or just use white. White never goes out of style. It is your table!
Have a great day. 🙂

Thanks Sandy for your comments. We will stay in Florida for The Holidays. Each year we have been down here, we have had dinner for those who do not have family close by. We are having 4 couples and a single to share our Thanksgiving Dinner… including a couple from England…who as you know, don’t really celebrate Thanksgiving, but who would have been alone.
As you most likely know, I love to entertain and I really enjoy the prep and setting a pretty table for almost any occasion. In fact the Captain has had to build me special shelves in any of the houses we have lived in to house all my dish sets, flatware, glasses, linens and centerpieces etc.
I will be making dinner, turkey and all the trimmings and even a bit more than anyone needs to have on a table. My Florida tradition has become a left over delight to my guests. After dinner, I pack all the leftovers into
Chinese takeout cartons and aluminum foil and send them home with each guest. And yes, I do save a bit for the Captain and me.I will be posting pictures of the Tablescape and menu.
What are you doing for the Holidays? Are you cooking or going out? It seems there are a lot of restaurants open on Thanksgiving down here, as more and more decide to let someone else do the cooking for them. Less mess that way! 🙂 For years my home has been the hub of Holiday Meals and I do enjoy the wonderful smells permeating through the house at Holiday time.
Thanks again for your comments.

Beautiful, Kari. Will you stay there for Thanksgiving, or come back to Missouri/Kansas?
