Hey Sports Fans!
A little background! The video on the main page of my Blog, which is located on the upper right corner of the website… has the most amazing flyover video which preceded the Kansas City Chiefs game on 13 Oct 2013. It occurred at the end of the National Anthem, which is when (in times past) a military flyover… sometimes it was the Stealth…. would fly over the stadium.
At Arrowhead Stadium Sunday….
As you know the budget cuts have eliminated the military flyovers at large events. Well, there’s a group of guys in Kansas City who do some formation flying in their own planes and they decided they’d volunteer to pick up the slack. They invited a couple of other groups to join them and before they knew it they had 48 guys signing up to join in. If they had more time, they probably would have gotten an even larger group as people kept joining and a 49th was added near the event. One additional feature of the flyover was the use of pink smoke for cancer awareness. The folks from the Guinness Book where there and are expected to confirm it as the largest formation flight ever. Still waiting on that data.
Once you view the video…there is another video here that is taken just before and during the flyover. This is the person who coordinated the event. You can see the pink smoke clearly and the view of the city and stadiums is unbelievably beautiful!
Hope you enjoy this videos as much as I did.
By the way…The Chiefs played the Oakland Raiders and won 24-7!
