Have you seen the movie Philomena?
The Captain and I had a “date” which included dinner and a movie yesterday!
We have occasional dates…
We think it keeps things fresh…by things I mean our relationship…yes, and a little exciting!
Sometimes we “meet up” at a pre-designated restaurant and after a delightful dinner decide to leave one car at the restaurant and go together to a movie!
Didn’t I tell you I’m/we’re weird? 🙂
Sorry, back to the movie….
After eating at the Outback Restaurant…..yummy steak, … We went to see the movie “Philomena” and it is a great story!
A few tears….you know a box of tissues are always my friend and always in my pocket!
AND the movie is based on a true story.
I highly recommend seeing the movie!
Judi Dench plays the role of Philomena and I believe she will receive an Academy Award for her performance.
Below is a bit from the movie trailer:
As a teenager in Ireland, Philomena Lee was banished to a convent for the ‘sin’ of having a baby out-of-wedlock, and forced to give him up. As a major new film about her life is released, she tells about their heartbreaking search for each other

The words of Philomena Lee: ‘To think the nuns never told us my son was searching for me’
The book title: The Lost Child of Philomena Lee, Author: Martin Sixsmith
If you go, or have gone to the movie…please give me your thoughts!
Good?? or not very Good?
I haven’t seen the movie, but Judi Dench is an excellent actress, so I know it’s good. It sounds a heartbreaking story, Kari.
Thanks Sandy for your comment….and I believe it has a happy ending, though not what one would expect!
