Dancing 1-2-3…1-2-3… I can remember my Mother trying to teach me to dance, (a very long time ago), because there was a high school dance I wanted to go to.
She kept telling me to count my steps 1-2-3 … 1-2-3… 1-2-3…
Do you watch Dancing with the Stars (DWTS)?
I don’t watch reality TV….well, obviously that is not quite accurate as I do like the reality show DWTS, and I do try to watch it when I can.
That is if there are no “sports” on the tube! ๐ Sports would take precedence over DWTS. ๐
I like the show, but I haven’t been able to watch every episode so I recorded a few of the shows.
I am just now catching up on the status of the celebrities and their Pro partners.
It takes a special skill to be able to dance following all the ballroom dancing rules. (I still don’t know all the rules, but I love watching the judging and I like rating the dancers… like I know what I am doing!) ๐
The Captain and I have discussed (emphasis on the word discussed) ๐ … going to ballroom dancing classes, but let’s face it…I don’t see that happening any time soon. : (
Although, I have a dear friend in KC who did take ballroom dancing lessons several years ago. When it was time to show what she had learned, the studio had a recital program and of course I went to watch her dance.
And you know what? she was very good. Way to go Gerre!
I have my favorite Pros on DWTS…Derek, Max, Cheryl, and Peta just to name a few.
Below are a few pics of the dancers for this Season!
If you have been watching, you already know who the dancers are.
If you haven’t been watching, I have identified them for you…but if you haven’t been watching, perhaps you wouldn’t know them anyway!
Forget I said that!
Just bear with this dancer “wanna-be…:) please
The stamina of some of the celebrities is nothing short of amazing. I think one of the most amazing celebrities is Amy, the Paralympian snow boarder who dances with a prosthesis on each of her legs.
Wow! What an inspiration she is. She won a Bronze Medal in snow boarding… literally just before the DWTS Season began!
Look at the gracefulness…..So pretty!
Max is a great dancer and so is his partner, Olympic Ice Dancer, Meryl.
Pointing toes and beautiful arm movements are a must, the judges say. I think I could point my toes and have good hand position….but I wouldn’t be able to wear a costume like that! ‘;)
Game show host Drew had lost weight before coming on “Dancing”, but it appears he has lost more weight! That would certainly give me an incentive to dance!
Danica was a child star and now she is all grown up and dancing with Val…so graceful and beautiful!
Another child star, Cameron being held with one arm….yeah, if I was Mark’s dancing partner….that move would not be happenin’ for so many reasons! ๐
I think Charlie’s poise and discipline as an Olympic Ice Dancer has certainly helped his ballroom dancing! I mean he is dancing on flat feet rather than dancing on a thin piece of steel!
I don’t mean Charlie has “flat” feet, I mean,…well, you know what I mean! ๐
Do you follow Dancing With The Stars?
Let me know who your favorites are….if you watch this TV show.
Meanwhile, I’m going to be practicing my dancing, 1-2-3 …1-2-3…1-2-3-

My favorites are mostly the same as yours, Kari. I don’t watch DWTS much because I prefer The Voice, and they are opposite each other. I do switch to DWTS during commercials on The Voice. lol
