Fountain of Youth…I promised to update you on my trip to the Fountain of Youth!
I am sorry it has taken me a couple days to provide this critical information.
I keep staring in the mirror, in anticipation of the lines and wrinkles (and extra weight….well, why not? I believe in Miracles!) magically showing my day by day metamorphosis!
I also have asked the Captain if he sees any changes….he just smiles, so I am assuming he is noticing something!
The Fountain of Youth is also an Archaeological Park.
I know I am feeling younger….I certainly drank enough of the water. (I actually thought about taking a bath in the precious water, but I did not want to be greedy). 🙂
I had read about white peacocks being at this famous landmark and I was very interested in seeing them as I used to raise peacocks when we lived in New Mexico.
I didn’t see white ones, but we did see this guy and he had to show off his beautiful feathers for us. (look at that little turquoise spot in the middle of the pic) 😉
Now he is strutting for us!
There is a lot of Spanish Moss on the trees…..The Captain and I have Spanish Moss growing on our Shady Lady Olive Trees.
I just like this cart of beautiful blue flowers and purple vines. I have the names written down but I have misplaced my notes! 🙁 More to come!
One of the oldest houses in St. Augustine….1763.
I am hoping that someday our pergola looks like this! so shady underneath. 🙂
The Fort built to protect the city.
Entrance to the colonial homes.
Just pretty….
Old stone fences and iron gates….
Love the gardens behind the doors…..
Back to the Fountain of Youth thing…..Who knows? By the time we get to the Carolinas….I might be a lot younger!:)
So now we are headed for Savannah, Georgia, …Hilton Head, South Carolina and Charleston, South Carolina.
Have you ever been to St. Augustine?
Happy Traveling if you are doing a vacation or planning one.

Thank you for sharing the lovely photos, Kari. I love peacocks; they are so beautiful.
I think I need to bathe in The Fountain of Youth. The dreams of being a youth again, but I wasted too much time.
