Just Whistle While You Work…..
Well, I may or may not have whistled a time or two..but I did play music as I cleaned out my pantry cabinets.
When my kitchen water pipes decided to swab the decks….and I had water every where…
I found myself checking cabinet bases for moisture and since I had to remove everything on the bottom shelves…I ended up sorting through “stuff” that either needed replacing or needed just plain organizing.
And that is always a good thing, isn’t it?
So I checked out my pantry cabinet, and decided I might as well re-arrange and sort out all the roll out shelves, even though they were well above the water line.
(I should hope they were above the water line…a few inches versus 8 feet would certainly be above the water line). 😉
As you can see, they were in need of a bit of straightening up……
I usually have my cabinets kind of organized….but a few times of hurriedly putting groceries away, and well…you can see the results.
I always told my kids it was easier to put things where they belong…yada yada yada!
yeah, uh huh! 🙂 Let’s talk about something else! 🙂
And after wiping the shelves out..I started replacing items in the correct places.
You probably thought the Captain might eat Capt Crunch???? Nawwwwwww…:)
Much better….
The Captain added these roll out shelves about a year or so ago…and I wish I would have had them years ago….It is so easy to see where everything is now and when I need to go shopping again….well, you still have to keep them tidy or you won’t know what you have! 🙂
If you would like to see that post which shows a more extensive roll out shelves (especially for my pots and pans) …it was dated November 9, 2013 and titled
Kitchen Cabinet Roll Out Shelves
Just click on the above link….for lots of pics.
Perhaps this will inspire me to work on clothes closets, since I had already sorted and straightened up the linen closets when I had to wash all those towels used to sop up water.
OR…maybe not…at least not today!
The pool is calling my name…and after all, I am retired! 🙂
