Two Days Late…Twice As Good!
What I mean to say is …this was a belated Valentine Get Together by the nicest friends in Cape Coral …and the potluck always produces great food and great fellowship!
Hence, Two Days Late…Twice As Good!
Our group tries to meet at least once a month…we are a large diversified group and so there are times when a few can’t make it, but it is always a fun time.
This potluck was hosted by “Ginger” and “the Professor” (not their real names of course…you know how I give people special names)….and we started the meal off with a prayer….which is a good thing!
I tried to take pictures…but mostly I found myself eating and taking blurry pics….but I will share a few pics with you.
The potluck centered around the Valentine theme and most of us tried to “think pink” in regards to food, which isn’t always easy!
Some of the “pink” foods included the most delicious pink honey baked ham…. that “Ginger” provided with the assistance of “the Professor” .
I brought peas and red potatoes in a pink cream sauce.
You know we eat with our eyes first, and the pinkish look of the casserole was not one of my favorite looks. 🙁
I have to admit, the pink cream sauce tasted good if you closed your eyes! 🙂
There was also a delicious pink bread pudding that not only looked good, tasted good too!
And we can’t forget the pink frosting on a white cake! Yummy!!!
My dear readers, can you come up with a pink food other than what I have mentioned above?
I can say…a great time was had by all….and if my friends don’t see their picture, I apologize as a few of the pictures were blurry….(don’t ever rule out operator error)…particularly the picture of Puss-in-boots was extremely fuzzy and blurry and she sat beside me during dinner. 🙂
So sorry boys and girls… I will try to do better next time! 🙂
Thanks Ginger and Professor for opening your lovely home to us all. 🙂

yes….you are Skylark and hubby is the gardener…and no, you are far from an infidel, my friend…and entitled to be a scholar of beliefs. We all believe in something don’t we? And I believe in our friendship, which I hold near and dear.:)
Thanks for stopping by…

Hi Kari,
your quote:
For those of you who follow my Blog…my spiritual life and faith… is very important to me….so it is always a good thing to surround oneself with believers.
Just so you know, I am not a believer; more like a scholar of beliefs. Hope that doesn’t make me an infidel!
Nice coverage of our party. Am I skylark and hubby, the gardener?
