My dear readers…this post is 3 Tips On Storage and Displaying Your Cutting Boards….
Spring and Summer is upon us and of course that means Picnic time…or al fresco dining/eating.
I LOVE IT!!!
But using plastic wraps and foils can sometimes be a pain to use….enter the dispensers that remove any tangled wraps.
I do NOT receive any compensation for recommending these items….I just happen to love the ease they provide and want to share with you.
The 3 tips are actually one item but includes storing and using wax paper, aluminum foil and that elusive hard-to-use plastic wrap.
I believe I have shown you these three items about 3 years ago, but I have had them about 5 years and I can’t stress how wonderful they are when it comes to covering food for storage…or taking on picnics.
And they are still working great…so they are not one of those one hit wonders.
The brand I have is Wrap Master although I am sure there are other companies making this product, but my only experience is with Wrap Master.
I have the red color, but they come in white and black also. In addition to different colors, the dispensers are made specifically for plastic wrap, waxed paper and aluminum foil. The price runs about 14-15 dollars which may seem a little pricey but the value far outweighs the cost.
If you are interested, you can go online to find these dispenser or you can go to QVC, as that is where I bought mine.
I have to tell you that I have never had a problem with the plastic wrap sticking to itself …..and wrapping a left over is a breeze. I used to end up needing about 3 hands to put plastic wrap on something …not anymore! Very user friendly!
Just Sayin’…
The other thing I want to talk about today is storing cutting boards.
I have a vertical place next to my pull out pots and pans drawers…love those also….but when I recently moved my kitchen “office” to another room, I found the “desk” I vacated seemed bare.
It needed something.
Enter my cutting boards and block. I tried to pick my most used wooden boards and stood them behind my heavy duty cutting block that used to reside on my counter top.
And I have to admit, I like the display, plus it is easier to chop my veggies, etc as I am very close to my stove top and the desk top is a little lower.
I used my pizza peel board, my very large cheese board and a smaller cutting board and I stood them up behind the cutting block that I added the little round legs to.
You might remember this post. Click on this link to see how I transformed the cutting block.
Don’t be afraid to display your favorite items out in plain site, especially if you have more than one of the same type of item.
I am constantly moving things around on my counter tops and somedays I have a collection of white stoneware pitchers…or I may have a collection of pretty white dishes sitting in a stack on a tray. Change them out when you want something different by shopping your own home.
Just sayin’
Have a great beginning to your week.
Please comment, I'd love to hear from you.
