My Favorite Valentine’s Day Movies…or as some would call them “Chick Flicks“!
Valentine’s Day!!! Yes, it will soon be Valentine’s Day.
I thought I would share with you a few …(yes, there are actually many)….of my favorite Valentine’s Day Movies to watch with your honey…or a couple of friends.
I’ve watched many a movie with some of my Gal Pals and we have a great time discussing different scenes, favorite actors and the movies in general.
I do have a confession to make …and you knew this was coming….IF the Kansas Jayhawks are playing basketball, I will choose to watch that game first…then watch the movie. 🙂
Yep! I am weird.
So click on the little arrow in the center of each movie to see what the movie is about or if you have already seen the movie…it gives you a little reminder!
For those of us who are sentimental …you might let a tear drop fall in remembrance.
In no particular order:
The Captain and I actually went to the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island on our first wedding anniversary and stayed in “The Jane Seymour Room”…
Yes, this movie is one of my favorites, “Somewhere In Time“
Love this story…..”The Notebook“
One of the best movies of all time, and yes it is in black and white….”Casablanca“
And yes, another movie about war and love…..”Pearl Harbor“
Perhaps you have a few favorite movies that you would like to share.
There are so many out there…such as “Sleepless in Seattle”, “Titanic”, “An Affair To Remember”, “You’ve Got Mail”…..
I could go on and on!
Tell me your favorites.
Have a great day!
Blessings Always
Kari we are kindred spirits. Can you believe I have never seen Casablanca. It’s on my list!
Oh Laura….you have got to see it.
Most people don’t like black and white movies, but with some of the older movies, I like them so much better than in color.
“Here’s looking at you kid” Humphrey Bogart to Ingrid Bergman in Casablanca.
thanks for stopping by my friend.
You mean one day I’ll have time to watch movies? ….. : )
LOL Liberty!
Of course you will have time…. on the day that you put off hand-watering the plants and hanging baskets, forget to take the laundry from the washer to the dryer (oh well, send them through the wash again) pick up take-out with one of those coupons that are in the junk drawer, or let the dog clean up the spilled mac and cheese on the floor.
Or you could just say….”hey guys, tonight I am going to have one hour and a half of movie time, just as my quiet time”…then smile sweetly and say “I will be back open for business after the movie.”
Hugs and blessings!
Fun! I am a Hallmark channel gal myself, never disappoints!
Jenna
I like Hallmark channel too Jenna
“Somewhere in Time” is such an awesome movie! And “Casablanca” is absolutely fabulous! Key Largo is another one…gangsters and a love story. Speaking of a true “tear jerker”, the movie “Love Story” with Ryan O’Neal and Ali McGraw…I can’t even watch that movie anymore it makes me cry so much! And while “The Spirit of Christmas” is a Christmas movie, it has a wonderful love story and can move into the Valentine’s Day slot for me! 🙂 Love and hugs!
I hear ya Benita….I cry so much at Ali’s line…”Love means never having to say you’re sorry”…..I am such a romantic….and a dreamer. LOL Blessings always my friend
The Light Between Oceans is a very sad touching love story. The book is so good too and the movie did not change or add anything. Happy valentine’s Day!
I remember that movie Connie! So sad and the decisions to be made had to be the most difficult. Beautiful story. Thanks for sharing.
I really like the movie Somewhere In Time and how lucky you were to be able to stay at the Grand Hotel. It looks gorgeous!
Kari, I was told this past week I am cancer free. I have only been on immunology drugs for 4 months but there is no trace of cancer anywhere in my body. I will still do immuno treatment for another year and a half so no cancer reappears but will gladly do that. Treatment is only twice a month with tests every 12 weeks. Thanks for being here to listen to me.
Oh Linda what great news! As you know, you have been in my prayers! To God be the glory, great things He has done….Hang in there sweet friend. I am here for you…anytime.
The Captain says “Somewhere in Time” is OUR movie. That’s why I love him.
Hugs and love
My all time favorite movie and it’s a love story too is “Overboard” and of course “Pretty Woman”. Happy V-day to you and the Captain.
Sandy, I love overboard and especially the line Goldie says when she she sees how large her “so called clothes are”….”I’m short and fat”…and who doesn’t love pretty woman and the knight in shining armor? sigh!!!
Thanks Sandy and Happy Valentine’s Day to you and your hubby! I like Gone with the Wind too….;)
Thanks for stopping by
Kari
