My dear readers…please forgive me for being absent these last few days. I have been busy with a project for church.
Every year we have an event we call , Joy in the Journey.
It is an 8-3 pm day filled with laughter, inspiration and music.
It is a day for women only and a day to show God’s love.
We have a motivational speaker, breakfast and lunch and the best band by far.
I am the team leader and for months we have been planning the events of the day.
The team I chose, after much prayer, are the best ladies ever, bar none.
The actual day of the event was Saturday and we were all so blessed as we shared door prizes and listened to two sessions from the speaker.
And I didn’t have to go far to choose a wonderful and funny Christian woman to be our speaker.
She lives just over the bridge in Ft. Myers and her name is Yvonne Conte.
Usually, the team chooses someone from out of state and there is hotel and travel included in her fee.
The term “it takes a village” is certainly what I found, as we worked at making this day a success for ladies who deserved a day to themselves.
Now that I have time to work on posts…let us begin.
Link Party favorite features from last week.
My three choices are:
I love travelogues and I especially love the photos that Nancy at Two Trails One Road posted last week.
The architecture of that city is so beautiful…the shot gun houses and the French Quarter are amazing.
To Nancy:
Thanks for sharing New Orleans ….It has been a long time since I visited that city and you brought back many memories.
My next choice is from:
Lisa at Lazy Budget Chef.…the recipe is for seasoned salt.
To Lisa:
I can’t wait to make this recipe. I like it because you can control the salt as I have to watch my sodium.
My last choice is estate tips from a pro.
Carol at blue sky at home Has gleaned some great buying tips from a pro.
To Carol:
It pays to keep your eyes and ears open even in a busy nail salon. Thanks for sharing.
The most clicked post from last week was from Andrea at Living on Cloud Nine .
Andrea shares when she started blogging and how it gave her an outlet and a purpose to get up in the morning.
To Andrea:
I pretty much began blogging under the same circumstances as my kids urged me to blog …that way they could keep track of me and be sure I was alive and kicking without having to call me every day. Ok, a slight exaggeration. LOL
