Sunday Scripture Motivation…
This is not a wordy or long post, but instead a day of thoughtful reflection.
Many of us have heard our parents giving us similar advice, a turn the other cheek kind of thing when one feels they have been wronged.
Of course there are those who say an eye for an eye and tooth for tooth, but if they read the scriptures, they will soon realize that they are taking the eye for an eye quote out of context. Even though it has been overstated many times…we should always ask ourselves…what would Jesus do?
Our world today is in sad shape, as we have friends fighting friends and families fighting with families, road rage is at it’s highest and we seem to have lost our patience. Unfortunately, the division appears to be getting wider.
We don’t have to let that happen.
One person and one voice may face overwhelming odds, but if we truly overlook insults and offer friendship and a smile, we should be able to make our immediate circumstances much better.
My dear friends, let take one day at a time and make each day amazing because ...this IS the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.
Blessings and hugs
Man… I need to be praying the Lord will help me in this area! Give me all the grace! 😉
It is difficult, isn’t it Julie. We all live in a world of instant gratification and everything else. I love your verse….’Be still and know that I am God.’ Blessings.
Very well said Kari! I couldn’t agree more! Love and hugs!
Love and Hugs to you sweet friend.
Great encouragement, thanks!
Thanks Janine. Blessings
