Link Party Time!
Hello dear readers….
The weather lately has been so hot or else the rains don’t have a stopping point.
I used to laugh at my grandmother because she talked about the weather all the time and as a kid, I really didn’t care unless it was Winter and there would be no school.
Or…it was summer and the weather meant no school, but summertime fun.
I don’t think as kids we ever thought the weather was too hot or too rainy. LOL
As adults however….we have a different feeling about the weather.
We had so many entries at our link party last week….it was very hard to pick just three.
My first choice is from Paula at Sweet Pea.
You guys, I got so excited when I saw the old sewing machine cabinet that she made over into a bar cart!
Remember I just posted about my pool cart and challenged you to do something similar to cart your summer drinks around.
My second choice is Nora from Trick or Treat
Don’t these dates and oatmeal bars look delish?
I love dates and to combine them with oatmeal makes for so pretty bars.
My third choice is Bev at Flamingo Toes
I love quilting and I wish I could sew quilts.
I used to watch my grandmother make quilts, but silly me, at the time I didn’t really care for them.
Now, I would give anything if I could own one of her beautiful lovingly made quilts.
The most clicked on post was the lemon shrimp spaghetti from the quilt lady at chasing my life where ever it leads me.
Doesn’t this recipe look delish?
I will have to add it to my recipe file….I LOVE shrimp of any kind.
So there you have it my friends….thanks to all of you who joined our Celebrate Your Story (CYS) Link Party.
It is never easy picking and choosing who makes the cut as I love all of them.

The sewing cabinet turned bar cart really caught my eye. I have my mother’s sewing machine and cabinet and it’s doubtful that I will ever use them for their intended purpose. However, I do not have a bar cart and this is a project I’d love to tackle. Thanks for hosting!
Isn’t it adorable Sandra?
