Move! Live On Tour!
My dear readers…I don’t know if you follow Dancing With The Stars, but I have to admit I try to watch this television program whenever I can.
There are certain dancers that I really like to watch….especially when they are doing the ballroom dances and the two people are so precise in their moves.
I like to watch as Derek Hough is paired with ordinary people…sometimes physically challenged and he cares for these people and works diligently to teach them dances….and they succeed!
The above pic is of Derek and Amy Purdy, who has prosthetic’s and yet she was so graceful, so beautiful.
Derek has won awards for his choreography.
Derek’s sister Julienne Hough is also an accomplished dancer…
And now she is a judge on Dancing With The Stars!
That is why I got excited when two of my favorite people…the dancing team of Julianne and Derek Hough were going to be performing at the Barbara Mann theater near us.
Unfortunately, by the time I realized the team would be performing…the theater was almost sold out.
The Captain managed to find us seats…..right in the front row! NOT!!!
Quite the opposite, we were very close to the top of the sold out theater… but I still enjoyed watching the dancers and we could at least hear what they were saying, see them dancing …..as well as being able to hear the music.
One of the reasons I like these two performers is that they are brother and sister and have danced in competitions almost all their lives and they are really good dancers.
They formed a touring company and call this particular Tour…”Move”…and they explain that one does not have to be a professional dancer, one just needs to get out there and move…whether it be dancing or just walking. Just Move!
And my goodness do they ever move….and while they were dancing and moving, they asked the audience to stand up and move their arms and feet to the beat. So the Captain and I “moved” too!
Oh…Julienne travels with her two little dogs….takes them with her on tour.
That alone makes her alright in my book!

Hi, I was taken to see our “Strictly Come Dancing” as a Christmas present the other year at London’s O2 arena. Vertigo! The stage was the size of my mobile phone screen. I felt so sorry for daughter who hadn’t realised how high we would be…. But I love the show and your Dancing with the Stars (when I can get it on Satellite or YouTube. You do get a better view on our HD TVs. Mnnn wonder what it would be like in 3D?

Thanks Donna for stopping by…there is another dance show on the 12th of July. The Captain and I are going to that one too! Not sure of ticket availability, but if you wanted to check into it…it, too, is at Barbara Mann. Royals are playing a double header today…play Tampa Bay!
