#ForeverRoyals Clean Sweep! All Four Tampa Bay Games!!!
OK, Sports Fans…and maybe not some sports fans!
I am going to have to praise the Kansas City Royals on winning all four games against Tampa Bay, finishing up the clean sweep yesterday afternoon!
I love this team! And as you, my faithful readers know…I don’t miss any of the 162 games played in a season.
Below are pics from each of the four recent games….because, as always…. there is a story to tell!
The above pic is of Alex Gordon rounding the bases after a home run hit on Tuesday!
The Royals played a double header on Tuesday, and a game on Wednesday and a game on Thursday.
Unfortunately, on Wednesday, Alex Gordon, Platinum and Golden Glove winner…. and one of the best Left fielders in baseball, got hurt and will be out for many weeks as he recovers from a severe groin injury.
The good news is the accident seemed to make the rest of the Royals team more determined to “make up” for the loss of the guy they called the “heart and soul” of the team.
The above pic is Cheslor Cuthbert sliding into home plate and yes! he was safe!
The team hit home runs….as you see from the above pic….That is Salvadore Perez, Royals catcher thanking God for being able to hit the ball out of the ball park for another Home Run. 🙂
The above pic is of first baseman, Eric Hosmer scoring “safe” as he slid into home plate.
The Royals played each of the 4 games so well…. both in hitting and their dramatic defensive efforts!
The grand slam home run was awesome! The above pic is of Paulo Orlando hitting the 6th grand slam in Royals’ history. (For those of you who may not know what a grand slam is….it is a home run with the bases loaded…scoring 4 runs at once)
What drama….the bottom of the ninth! What an Adrenalin rush!
As if that wasn’t enough….Jarrod Dyson, stepped into Left Field in place of the injured Alex Gordon and one would have thought Alex was still out there, as Dyson caught a fly ball while he was running towards the very wall that Gordon hit the day before.
It was an amazing catch …likened to a Willie Mays catch of days gone by.
Dyson caught the ball and flipped around to make the play at first base, for a double play.
The team and fans…. tipped their hats to the miraculous catch and throw to first base….as if to say, this was a way of honoring the injured Alex Gordon, as he most certainly would have made that catch, as he has done so many times before.
The above pic is a victory “bump” between Eric Hosmer, first baseman and Jarrod Dyson, Left Field replacement….and very fast runner, I might add!
Isn’t it great to see a team that not only likes each other…they laugh together and they stand by their team mates.
But as with all things….the beat goes on. Tonight the Kansas City Royals start a new 3 game series with the Toronto Blue Jays!
And so it begins again, Drinkin’ the Royal Blue “Cool” Aid!
Let’s Go Royals! #ForeverRoyals!

Team Royals are fantastic. They are even going to take Gordy to the All Star Games to watch his team play. I am so proud of this team and how well they get along.
Gotta go turn on the television to watch the game.

I do have a small correction when Dyson caught that ball he got the runner out by throwing to home Perez caught the ball and tag the runner sliding into home. Just FYI. As you know I’m hooked on the royals this year. Still a lot of questions as you well know I’m always asking something. I enjoy texting with you when the game is on love you
