Ok, red and pink pillows in the Living Room.
Time to put you back in the drawers.
More accurately, I should say time to remove your red and pink covers, pack them away and pull out the pillow covers for a March change of pace.
I have to confess that I did a little backslide this year and left the red from Christmas out about a month too long.
I mean Valentine’s Day was red and pink, so I sorta slid through the month of January on a wing and a prayer using the reds of Christmas and added early month of February pinks. 🙂
Oh, I was clever and turned the pillows around so the Christmas pattern was facing the sofa and the solid color was facing the world.
But now it is time for a change.
A March change of throw pillows for the Living Room.
I decided to use the grays and whites for my sofa pillows.
I have been asked many times where I keep all my Sofa throw pillows.
The answer is simple.
They almost always stay on the sofa, love seat and side chairs.
However, the covers are removed and other colors are placed for the occasion.
Sooooo much easier storing folded flat throw pillow covers and re-using the inserts.
The folded covers above don’t take up much space at all compared to a fully stuffed pillow.
This is what my March living room is looking like today.
I love using neutrals for the main pieces of furniture, walls and plantations.
It makes it so much easier to add color with pillows and vignettes as you see here.
This vignette was so easy to put together using what I already have around the house.
I placed the vignette on a rustic wood tray with rope handles.
The white ironstone vase is holding pink peony flowers and I added a couple of mostly white books and two saucers for height.
The chippy candlestick with white candle is adding interest and is not too high so visiting over it is quite easy.
I have been considering adding a blue or gray candle to replace the white candle for variety, but for now the white candle works.
The faux sage plant adds a little color along with the white ceramic apple.
…..and for a little bit of whimsey, I added the little bird’s nest for a Spring touch.
Simple and yet pretty and along with the pillow covers featuring birds (which I love at any time of the year) the room feels like Spring.
Do you use pillow covers to change out your sofa pillows?
If not, think about it because it is a way to have many different pillows using only one set of inserts.
Saves space and adds color.
Have a great Spring day and blessings to all.
You are amazing!
Thanks for following me.

12 years for your washer… that is good going… I hope the tumble drier doesn’t come out in sympathy now though…
Hugs from a defrosted pond..

Minus 7 the other day at early silly o’clock 06:10 when I had a puncture and had to wait 90 mins to be rescued! Next day, yesterday, woke to a failed pipe joint due to freezing and now I’ve still got a bucket under the leak and a hole in the ceiling. So i envy your spring warmth.. Could be worse though…
Hugs from this side of the frozen pond xx

oh my goodness my friend….You must have been freezing waiting for 90 minutes. I don’t think I could take that these days…haha. And there is nothing more aggravating than a frozen pipe, I feel for you. Of course, I just lost my washer….ugh! You would think appliances would last longer than 12 years, wouldn’t you? Hang in there, luv you.
