Easy 4 Ingredient Stuffed Mushrooms Appetizer And The VIP Movie

Stuffed Mushrooms

Folks, I LOVE mushrooms in any way shape or form.

In fact, as much as I am not a fast food fan…there is one local fast food joint that has a Mushroom Swiss hamburger that I have tasted and it is delicious.

That is if you are a mushroom fan.

I have several stuffed mushrooms in my recipe file (check it out here) and here is yet another that is super quick and easy.

This recipe calls for four ingredients.

That is right, I said four ingredients and once you have cooked the sausage, your work is assembly only.

The secret ingredient is using a Deli type spinach/artichoke dip.

I have to tell you that several years ago, the Captain …who will eat almost anything, ordered a spinach artichoke dip and chips at the VIP movie we were attending.

If you haven’t been to a VIP movie,….. my friends, you have not experienced movies to the fullest.

First of all, there is no one under 18 allowed in this special movie showing and there are only leather recliners….usually no more than 30 seats.

There are no previews or trailers or ads…just the movie.

And then, there are servers who come to your recliner to take your order and refill your popcorn and drinks if desired.

There is an actual menu.

The first time, I was so wrapped up in the movie that I did not notice my popcorn and coke had been replenished as well as hot wings added to our little table….

Of course you settle the bill after the movie just like in a restaurant.

The movies are the same movies showing at the regular theaters, it is just a little quieter and private with servers and more choices than popcorn, candy and drinks.

The initial movie tickets are only a few dollars more than regular attendance movies.

Unfortunately, the VIP movies are not in every city. We have been fortunate to have one in Kansas City, Seattle and Miami.

I have heard that there is something similar to the VIP in Bonita Springs, Florida at the Prado12 theaters.

However, I think there is more than 30 seats and there is no restriction on small children.

I have noticed the movie theaters here in the Cape are adding recliners to the regular attendance movies, but you are still in and among the populace and you purchase your movie treats at the concession stand like every one else.

Anyway, that was a long story to tell you that the Captain had ordered the spinach/artichoke dip and I was dipping chips and watching the movie when I finally asked him what that delicious dip was.

Yep! Spinach-Artichoke Dip and it made me a believer. LOL

The easy recipe is below:
