Hello dear readers…this past week has been a busy one.
The Captain and I had several functions to attend as well as the usual Spring maintenance around the house.
We try to put down new mulch around all the outdoor plants in the Spring, although in Florida, the time of year is not that important.
These are things that just need to be done so business as usual, whether it be Spring, Summer, Winter or Fall.
Let us now get down to posting the features from Celebrate Your Story Link Party.
My first choice to feature is from Marilyn at Marilynstreats.
Marilyn gives us a creme brulee’ waffle
To Marilyn: This waffle will make a wonderful, special breakfast for our guests coming next month. Thank you for such an original and unique idea.
My second choice from last week’s features is from Tracey at the kitchen is my playground.
The Captain’s favorite cake is carrot cake and as a matter of fact, the grooms cake at our wedding was a carrot cake made by my daughter ad it was a replica of our local airport taxi way.
To Tracey: Years ago, someone told me to use the carrots baby food jars and it really did work and the cake was so moist.
My third choice from last week’s feature is Tracie at Somewhat Awry.
Tracie brought back memories both current and past comfort food of fried potatoes with onions.
To Tracie: I have made fried potatoes with onions almost weekly all of my life, but I have never used cornmeal so I am anxious to try this recipe.
The most clicked on post was from Jody at southernseazons!
Jody did a video tour of her lovely home all decorated up for Easter.
To Jody: Thank you for sharing your beautiful Tuscan home tour. I did notice there was snow outside your windows and I am hoping you have sunshine and warmer temperatures today.
So there you have it my friends….thanks to all of you who joined our Celebrate Your Story Link Party.
