It is that time, dear readers, to get out the sandals, sunglasses and sun dresses and begin to enjoy Spring.
Sundresses????
Yeah right!
Like that is gonna happen for me!
I haven’t bared my upper arms since 1998, unless it is to wear a bathing suit, which by the way, I swore off of until I moved to Florida a little over 10 years ago.
It is true that one will see every size, shape and form on the SW beaches down here,…..
…….but that is not why I decided to wear a bathing suit again.
Nooooooo,
I will only bare my upper arms and legs because my swimming pool is surrounded by a 9 ft solid Adobe wall.
Uh huh!
And Unless one is in a helicopter….
…..they ain’t seeing these hips and celulite!
Nada!
Zip!
Nothin’ !!!
No one, but family and a few choice friends, that is.
So in anticipation of your question, ‘Don’t you go to the beach?’
Only if company comes down and insists….but I never wear a bathing suit.
I have on flip-flops, capri pants, 3/4 sleeve length shirt and a big floppy hat.
And guess what?
No one notices it.
Because anyone who works outside, like lawn people or pool care people know what the Florida sun can do to your skin.
You will see lawn people with long sleeve shirts, long pants, and wide brimmed hats with attached neck towels!
Just think “Lawrence of Arabia”….and unless you are doing the dance of the 7 veils after dark in the safety of a tent…you are protecting your skin with the highest percentage of sunscreen and skin coverings.
So now that we settled that, let’s talk about the wonderful posts from last week.
First up I chose this beautifully decorated 3 tiered tray from Lori at Dining Delight.
Not only does the galvanized tray inspire one to use what you have on hand to decorate for Easter….Lori, has a new grand daughter to share, and who doesn’t like to see baby pictures?
To Lori: Congratulations on your sweet grand daughter and I think your 3 tiered tray is arranged beautifully. Perfect pastels.
Next I chose the ‘how to paint pretty eggs’ that Ann of The Apple Street Cottage shared with us.
Ann gives us simple instructions, along with the use of dollar store eggs, to paint realistic looking robin egg blue eggs.
To Ann: Using a tooth brush to splatter the eggs is genius. Good job as the eggs are so pretty, especially with your lovely tablecloth.
And my third choice is from Stephanie of Abbotts at Home and her indoor RV vignette!
Ok, the Captain and I love to travel in our RV and this cute little fairy garden vignette is adorable and I am sure the children would love to help set it up.
To Stephanie: The succulents and little white dog are perfect additions to your indoor garden and the next time I am in Hobby Lobby, I am looking for your cute travel trailer.
The Most Clicked On Featured Post!
And drum roll please….
The most clicked on post was from Pam at Everyday Living.
Pam has the most beautiful gardens, Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter and in this post she has chosen to use two watering cans to display her fresh flowers.
Just look at those beautiful yellow roses drooping and draping over her arbor.
To Pam: Your watering cans are beautiful but I think the yellow roses are my favorite! Who wouldn’t want to sit under this arbor and sip sweet tea?
