Happy Thanksgiving to Everyone!
Dear ones…thank you so much for all your well wishes and prayers and cards and letters.
What a wonderful support group and you will never know just how much you all mean to me….and how much you have lifted my spirits.
I have so much to be thankful for this Holiday Season.
First, an update.
I am still going through Chemo, and I have two more Chemo infusions before the radiation treatments start.
The modified Chemo treatments are so much easier on my body,…..but the trade-off is extra treatments.
The Captain is still checking out the severity of the “Whipple Treatment” that should take place in February or March….and he is wondering if this drastic procedure is really necessary.
My thoughts are, …
God has plans for me and we still need to see how far the cancer has shrunk, which will perhaps make the Whipple surgery unnecessary.
Yay! If that is God’s plan.
I cling to this Bible verse!
“For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an Eternal Glory that far outweighs them all”. 2 Corinthians 4:17
Before I end this post, I would like to share with you the words of Emily Matthews’, Life’s Pathway.
At times, life’s path seems filled with things that make the going rough,
And we wish there were a smoother road, for we feel we’ve had enough…
But, if we pause a moment and remember who’s in charge,
The hills that loom ahead of us no longer seem so large,
And every rock before us, when we know we’re not alone,
Becomes, not just a stumbling block, but one more steppingstone.
I love that poem!
And finally, yesterday my son gave me a greeting card that says it all….
You’ve overcome so many things,
and every time you’ve grown
through sheer determination
and the wisdom that you’ve shown.
So, as you face this journey,
from the moment you begin,
Know that God will guide you,
and you will have the strength to win.
Hugs and Blessings Always and a very Happy Thanksgiving to all.
I love you
