Masters Golf Tournament For Two, But Not In Augusta
Masters Golf Tournament For Two, But Not In Augusta…that is right…the Captain and I will have our own golfing celebration of the Masters Tournament right here in SW Florida. The Captain loves to golf and I love to eat and though we are not a part of the golfing going on in Augusta, Georgia this week-end…, (we were not invited 😂) I decided to bring the festivities here.
I planned the menu of pulled pork BBQ sliders, egg salad, chicken salad and pimento cheese sandwiches with the crust cut off…(so they are very small in size) along with a few chips and apple slices taken right from the Masters Concessions Menu.

The table began with turf…green grass as a table runner. The centerpiece is a “green” with a golf ball, golf club, sand trap, and a green golf cart. Yes, I know the golfers at the Master walk a lot, but this is my table and I would ride in a golf cart. (that is because I never keep my eye on the ball as the Captain tells me and I never know where my ball landed…so I drive around searching)

The silver clubs can be removed from the golf bags on the green golf cart…which is kinda cute. (It doesn’t take much to amuse me)
There are three golfers dressed in perhaps 1940’s attire.
The first golfer on my table is preparing to hit the ball and he has his golf bag on a wheeled cart close by.

Anchoring the table are the other two golfers…one after his swing….
….and one who hit the ball and is searching for it. (that would be me)

The plate stack has a white charger, a green dinner plate with golf balls and clubs, a golf ball salad plate and an appetizer/dessert plate with clubs and a hole #1 flag. Yellow flatware sits atop a green napkin with golf balls and golf tees. On the other side of the plate stack is a Masters towel, one green and one yellow at each place setting. The glass ware is painted with the 19th hole flag and golf balls. Also at the setting is a green cup from a previous Masters tournament along with a coffee cup with the Masters logo.
Scattered about the table are golf balls, golf tees and Masters chip ball markers.

There is a Lenox cocktail napkin holder with a Nora Fleming ‘Mini’ golf ball in the corner of the dish on the other side of the table.

I will post the menu recipes in a later post.
Blessings Always…and Happy Golfing! (if you golf)

- Psalm 121:1-2 (NIV): “I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.”

I’m late for your golfing table, Kari, but it’s so cute! You’ve thought of everything and your menu sounded delicious! I’d be there for the food. 😊 Happy weekend to you and your Captain!
After watching Rory win again I sure did enjoy your table. You thought of everything!
It’s beautiful!
💚⛳
Thanks Nancy…yes he did win altho it was touch and go on Saturday which made me wonder if he was gonna be able to pull out the back to back wins. thanks for stopping by. 🥰🌸👒
Oh my gosh, FABULOUS!
thanks Rita…you can see why I don’t have any more storage room. I have dishes everywhere in my house. 🥰 When Only daughter was here a few months ago…she re-arranged a LOT of my dishes and it has helped me re-discover my stash. LOL thanks for stopping by.
Kari, I think you may win the prize for the most dishware for every occasion possible! I would love to visit your dish pantry! This tablescape is so much fun and neither Butch nor I are golfers and yet I am so drawn to this table! You have thought of everything. I love the three golfers. The details on your table are amazing! Thank you for sharing💚🏌🏻♂️⛳️🏌🏼♀️💚 Happy weekend my friend!
thanks Pam…I know I have too many dishes but I love each and every one of them…my daughter does not share my enthusiasm …although my Daughter in love does to a certain extent. I shudder to think of what will happen to all of them when I leave this earth…LOL. I wish I were a good golfer but unfortunately the Captain is the golfer in this house. I guess my title could be dish lover. Thanks for stopping by dear friend.🥰🌸🦋
How cute. This is Awesome.
thanks Rebecca, I still love playing with dishes…I guess I will never grow up! 🥰 Have a great and wonderful week…I hope the weather is ‘good’ where you are. 🌞🌸
Oh my goodness, Kari. You thought of everything for this table. From the three golfers playing on the greens, the towels and chip ball markers, to the dish stack all makes for a fun Masters theme table. Then you use the Masters Concession list to plan your menu. Great ideas! We’re having pulled pork tonight but I don’t have any golfing decor for our table. With college basketball season over (although following transfer portal and new recruits), we will be watching the beautiful Masters. Any plans for a Kentucky Derby table?
Oh yes Jan…I have settings for the Derby and the Preakness so I will be working on those soon. How about our Jayhawks…I feel bad that they are going into the transfer portal which I think is one of the worst things to happen to college sports…that and the NIL. I agree the kids should be compensated but there does not seem to be any loyalty to a school anymore or a college education. It is all about the money which is important for their brief careers but I can’t help but think of the kids that would give anything to get a college education and can’t afford it and these guys are hop-scotching team to team (college to college) and playing with how many millions they can make each year. Rumor is Flory Bidunga was offered 5 million from TT whereas KU could only pay 2.5 million. Sadly, the only ‘team’ left at KU is apparently Rosario, Big Jay and Little Jay and the cheerleaders! LOL (sigh!). Thanks for your kind comments on my table…The Captain is in Augusta today (flying not golfing) but is usually glued to the tube watching the play. Glad we had our ‘Masters’ Thursday before he flew there Friday. Have a great and wonderful week-end. Hugs!
