Old Fashioned Chocolate Sour Cream Cookies
Chocolate Sour Cream Cookies are little mounds of chocolaty goodness in one little bite…well, depending on how big a drop cookie you make.
Folks this little cookie is every one’s favorite. I always make them at Christmas and my family loves them so much that I usually have to make them several times before the holiday. It is a very simple recipe and an old recipe. My Mother gave it to me when I was 15 and I have been making them ever since.
Sometimes I make them plain with no frosting but the kids always want the frosting even if it is just a quick swirl on top of the rounded cookie…so I have included the frosting recipe also. It is just the usual powdered sugar frosting with chocolate added. One quick note, the chocolate in these cookies is the bars of unsweetened baking chocolate. Don’t make the mistake of using a chocolate bar that is considered a candy bar. Most younger people don’t realize that the baking chocolate bars and candy bars are not the same.🥰
I hope you make and like these chocolate sour cream cookies and they become a Christmas favorite at your house. Or anytime for that matter.
