Rock Chalk Jayhawk, 2015!
For my dear readers who have faithfully followed this Blog….you know the Kansas Jayhawks are near and dear to my heart.
You have most likely wondered why I haven’t been doing the “Rock Chalk Jayhawk Chant” at every opportunity of every win (or loss) for this season.
It isn’t that I have not been watching every single game …or that I have not kept abreast of every single injury …or even that I have not paid close attention to the ever changing starting lineup that Coach Bill Self has initiated.
Above is the schedule for this season….listing the wins …and the two losses.
No, it is that beginning this upcoming Wednesday…game plans are getting serious, because that is when the Jayhawks start their divisional conference play!
It is true that we have lost two games so far this season…
And it is also true that they were the first and second worst losses in the 12 years that Bill Self has been coaching at Kansas University.
We lost to Kentucky and we lost to Temple.
And it hurt! Because the Jayhawks are a better team than the way they played both of those games.
BUT, the Jayhawks are resilient. AND they are good. AND Coach Self is an amazing Coach, so no worries there.
The Jayhawks came back to beat Kent State…
And yesterday,…. they played UNLV and won.
Wednesday, they play Baylor, …and yes I will put on all my KU shirt, ear rings, bracelets and anything else Jayhawk… as I have done each and every season…and I will be cheering front and center right in my living room for “my guys” ;).
Oh, have I shown you the newest addition to my Jayhawk collection?
Just sayin’ 🙂
Have a great Monday!

No doubt in my mind that they will win the Big 12 conference…again! Even though Texas A&M hasn’t lost a game and Texas is doing really great this year in our Big 12 Conference.
I only hope that when we go to the Dance in March….we can beat the two top teams in the Nation…who just happen to be on the same Kentucky team as Platoons 1 and 2. They are really good and most are over 6 foot 4 inches tall….Coach Calipari lucked out this year being able to put together two full great teams from his one squad….and it is well known that both of those squads would be ranked number 1 and number 2 in the nation…if the rankings would allow it. And that doesn’t even count his regular “bench” ;(
Of course Kentucky hasn’t lost a game yet…and most likely will go 45-0…the only team to do so in the NCAA since Indiana won 32-0, many many years ago. (they didn’t play as many games then)
But I have faith in the Jayhawks and we will give them a run for their money…no matter who we play. 🙂
thanks for stopping by, my friend.

Hi Marie
So glad we are getting into conference play…I have been watching the other 10 teams and I believe we can beat them too. 😉
I am envious that you will be court side when we play Texas Tech…which hopefully will be an easy win.:)

LOL The Jayhawks are a young team, but with Bill Self’s guidance they are going to the Big 12. I’ll be watching Wednesday, too, Kari.
