Unique Chair Covering!
Good Morning my dear readers…
Yesterday, I told you about the outdoor curtains I made using paint drop cloths and I joked about using the curtains as a drop cloth when I needed to paint a room.
Apparently, that is not so far fetched.
Yesterday, while standing in line at the Supermarket, I started leafing through a magazine to help pass the time.
We have all been there haven’t we? 😉
This magazine was all about painting and paint colors and I came across this chair that had been upholstered with…yep! you guessed it…a drop cloth!
And the design was speckled paint.
Is that a hoot or what?
Of course, the speckles were a bit more “planned” than if you used the “drop cloth” as a drop cloth while painting various rooms.
The article also commented on painting the wood parts of the chair white.
I just had to share it with you, because it is an interesting way to take an old chair and make it new again.
What are your thoughts my faithful followers?
Would this be an addition to a shabby-chic decor?
Do you like the concept?
I’m still just thinking about it….the design doesn’t really fit my decor…but who knows?
I’m going to take the magazine to my Secret Garden with a cup of hot tea and look at paints. 😉
Have a great Friday….and keep smiling!
The HGTV Magazine, May Issue is completely dedicated to painting.
