Soooooo did you know there has been a sale going on at HUGE Nordstrom Anniversary Sale? In fact, there are just a few days left so today I decided I better take a look and I found several items that were calling out to me. Perhaps they are calling out to you too??
As many of you know, I usually order on-line for many. many things.
I find it easier than fighting the crowds, especially if there is a great sale going on.
…..and I am just not that “in” to the pushing and shoving and grabbing things out of one’s hand, let alone searching for parking spaces or worse yet parking in a huge parking lot and forgetting where I parked my car. I have done that a time or two….even at the grocery store parking lot. 😉
No, I’d rather sit at my desk, look over the plethora of colors (which you don’t always find in the store) and shop leisurely. And when the item arrives at my door, it is just like Christmas or my Birthday as I excitedly open my package.
The other day as I was tearing through the packaging of something I ordered, the Captain asked why I was so excited.
He said, “don’t you know what it is”?
My eyes widened and I smiled from ear to ear and said, “yessssss, I do know what it is, and that is why I am so excited!!!!…it is something I really want!!
Ok, now back to shopping.
I did find that Nordstrom had diamond earrings on sale.
Well, they are cubic zirconia which look like diamonds. I tend to wear my studs every day (I know…I am a bit lazy) and I also have been known to lose one or two, so it is better for me economically to purchase the cz’s.
Nordstroms have these in 3 colors, sterling platinum, gold and rose gold…. but I went with the sterling platinum. I purchased the 2 ct size (1 ct per earring) but they have them in other sizes, too. They are currently on sale for $29.90 a pair here: Cubic Zirconia Earrings.
I also visited another on-line store…Tuckernuck!
I had found this really cute hat a while back, but it had sold out before I could order it. The hat description claimed it was “packable”…supposedly one could stuff it in a suitcase and it would pop right back into shape, and that would certainly solve my issues with big hats…because I am either traveling or stuffing a hat into a beach bag or something of that nature.
And today…whoopee! the hat is available again!!!! under What’s New for Women – Tuckernuck
One can not live in Florida without wearing a hat and believe me when I tell you that I already have a huge collection of hats. One would think that I would not need another hat. But then one would not have seen how my eyes lit up at the sight of this particular hat….
Soooo I debated between the black or cream or navy bow and decided on the black.
Yup! Another hat for my collection which will definitely make my dermatologist happy. AND I did get a 10% off coupon.
Well, my dear readers…how is that for getting over the hump day (Wednesday) with a bit of on-line shopping?….
Sometimes I just look around the website at what is new at these stores and not buy, and then sometimes….like today, I just couldn’t resist.
Do you like to on-line shop?
Please leave a comment as I would love to hear from you.
Blessings always

Haha… love the fact that trying on hats is Universal… I loved going into one of our department stores and trying on the fancy hats.
Also, my mother worked in a hat factory and during a couple of school holidays I went into work with her… I remember it as being fascinating, although I’m sure health & safety wouldn’t allow the old equipment, the piles of fluff everywhere and the rickety stairs… as it was in a knocked through terraced house.
I bought a ladies Panama hat (for my tropical holidays) as they said it could be rolled to be packed… then I bought the tube to protect it when it was rolled… I really should take a few moments to convert from metric to inches as the tube was enormous and not the cigar size I’d imagined. Needless to say, the hat hasn’t been worn… yet…
Hats… great opportunity to purchase the next best style for when you are driving your convertible car eh!
hugs from across the pond..

I absolutely love hats and my hair dresser insists that I wear them between touch-ups as red hair fades so easily. All my life I have been a strawberry blonde in the summertime and tout auburn tresses in the winter time…until that is I moved to Florida… haha luv ya!

Kari, you brought some terrific memories of when my girlfriend and I would go to Weavers in Lawrence and try on all of their hats as kids. We modeled them for our enjoyment. lol She was a shoe person, but I was a hat person. lol Such fun!
