I personally love the change
in Seasons and not just because
we can change our decor to
celebrate the new Season, but
because the changing of the
Seasons are also milestones
in our personal lives.
You see, our lives are Seasons.
At our wedding, the Captain and I chose the verses from the Bible in Ecclesiastes 3.
You all know these verses and they ring true today as they did in Solomon’s time so many years ago.
For there is a time for everything and a season for every activity, and if we put our lives into Seasons, such as childhood, adulthood and yes, even a time to die….it is all put in perspective.
In celebrating Harvest time, Fall or Autumn, it marks a new Season for us and our lives, a renewal of ‘gone with the old’ and ‘in with the new’.
So, my dear readers…let us celebrate this Season of our lives, a rejuvenation of sorts as Summer fades away and days are getting shorter.
These are the days of brisk walks among the multi-colored leaves of brown, gold and red as they drift down from the limbs that have held them so tightly through-out the Spring and Summer Seasons.
This is the time to think of our time to reap from a Season of sowing.
A time to begin preparations of family gatherings and celebrations of Thanksgiving of the Harvest.
I do love this Autumn/Fall Season of my life ….as I do the other Seasons. They are all important steps in this journey called life and living!
And as with the other three Seasons, I really like to decorate in celebration of this leg of my journey…..as do others, particularly Only Daughter and Grand daughter #3.
The above and below pics are of Only Daughter’s Front Porch Fall/Harvest Decor.

I am including a few suggestions of other front porches for you to take a look at. Some are more “decked” out than others. It is a matter of choice and there is no right or wrong way to decorate.
It is whatever you personally like.
It could be a home made banner above the door.
Or a few mums placed near the entry.
Or you can use spray paint of pastels and place your pumpkins in a bushel basket.
I love the simplicity of the above pic. A few well placed pillows and a basket of mums.
Perhaps you want to celebrate this Season of your life by surrounding yourselves with red apples and orange pumpkins and other Fall/Autumn decor on your front porch.
A way of welcoming your visitors to your very own celebration of life’s Seasons just as I have done for Villa de La Luna!.
Have a great and blessed beginning to your week.
Hugs
Please comment, I'd love to hear from you.
