I have put together another St. Patrick’s Day tablescape….
AND….I have to admit that I really like celebrating the Irish with all the green and white decor even if it includes an Irish Santa dressed all in green, holding a shamrock hat.
S-h-h-h-h-h…..But I won’t tell if you don’t tell, that I am using a Santa in March.
This little Santa leprechaun found his way into my basket when shopping.
I know….I just couldn’t help myself.
He really is an Irish Santa, but I think I will not use him at Christmas…his place is on the Irish table.
So let’s talk about the table.
The reversible place mats are 4 leaf clovers and I found them at Kohl’s this year.
One side is solid green while the other side (which I have facing up) is covered in clovers of various colors.
I used white ironstone dinner plates and cabbage salad bowls.
The lime green soup bowls on top are from another set of dishes that I have had a very long time.
Little cabbages napkin rings hold plaid napkins, which ties back to the plaid table runner.
You have seen them here before.
Cabbage place mats (you can see them here) sit on the table runner for the center piece and leprechaun and I have placed a few pieces of Irish basket weave at the ends of the table.
The center piece is similar to one I saw on Pinterest of an Irish hat…… It is actually a vase inside of a vase.
Any 2 vases will work as long as one sits inside of the other.
I used white hydrangeas in the inside vase and I sat both vases on a clear plate.
The lime jelly beans fill the area between the two vases and on the plate.
I used a wide black ribbon around the outside vase and I found an elasticized gold head band with a four leaf clover at Party City….and I used that on top of the black ribbon to hold the ribbon in place.
You could just as easily hot glue the black hat band in place….or even tape it.
Nothing is glued or sewn and can be dis-assembled quickly and easily.
The flatware is green handled that I have had for years and the water glasses are from the dollar store a couple years ago.
You can see the water glasses here.
The wine glasses are from Wal-Mart.
I really like the casserole dishes from Temp-Ta-tions in a basket weave with four leaf clovers scattered hither and yon.
They match these cookies that I found at the super market.
The lids of the casserole dishes hold colorful cupcakes also.
The casserole dishes are the perfect size as they come in 1 quart, 2 quart and 3 quart sizes. Luv ’em!!!
Great for displaying sweets and great to cover the casseroles.
I have been experimenting with those new Russian tips for my frostings that so many people are using these days.
I ordered them off the internet and was surprised to find them a lot larger that I thought they would be.
There is a learning curve to them and I am still working on my technique of making little roses across the top of each cupcake.
I won’t show you my trial/test roses, instead I will wait until I master this frosting technique.:)
I love the little clover dishes. They are perfect for individual salads or treats.
Have a great and wonderful day and if you like anything in this tablescape please feel free to use it in yours.
That is what friends are for! Right?
