My dear readers, we have had a very busy and sometimes sad… few weeks lately, so I haven’t been able to post as much as I would have liked.
But there is a time for everything and this just was not the time.
The Captain and I have lost three very special people in the past weeks, and because we know each is in Heaven with our Heavenly Father, the sadness is not for them.
It is for those of us who are left behind.
The Bible tells us there is a time to weep and a time to laugh…and we have found plenty of times to laugh regarding these dear ones….in between the tears, there are plenty of laughs.
It is difficult when we lose someone close to us, but we also know that many years ago, all three of these wonderful souls, took that special moment to confess their sins and ask Jesus to come into their lives.
What a difference that makes as we mourn, knowing eternity is secure for them.
The following verses are very special to me and I have referred back to them many times over the years, not only when I have lost someone dear, but in my every day living.
There really is a time and a place for everything that happens in our lives.
Some we have control over and some we do not.
And that is okay.
It is all part of God’s Design for Life.
To every thing there is a season.
Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8
There is an appointed time for everything, and there is a time for every event under Heaven: A time to give birth, a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to tear down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to search, and a time to give up as lost; a time to keep, and a time to throw away; A time to tear apart, and a time to sew together; a time to be silent, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; A time of war, and a time for peace. So we say good-bye to our friends, knowing they are where there is no more pain and suffering. James 4:14 You don’t even know what tomorrow will bring, what your life will be! For you are like smoke that appears for a little while, then vanishes. Blessings Always.
