Hello dear readers.
I have two issues to discuss before we get into the featured posts on Celebrate Your Story link party.
#1. The Captain and I went out last night for dinner and then dancing the night away…
…..well, we danced to slow golden oldies and help close the place down….at the wee hour of 9 p.m. LOL
We are such Party People…NOT!!!!
My broken foot has been healing s-l-o-w-l-y and still a bit wonkey!
We probably danced about 6 slow dances and I said to the Captain, “hold me tight in case I fall over”. LOL
The man and wife singers/entertainers were a couple who have gone to our church, so it was good clean fun.
2. The second issue is my sports team, the Kansas Jayhawks College Basketball Team. (KU)
This week, my team has won one game and lost one game… and there have been murmurings that this is the year KU will not win the Big 12 title. 🙁
OK, I understand that KU has won 14 consecutive Big 12 titles (since 2005 if you are counting) and it is possible that this is the year that the Big 12 title won’t go through Lawrence, Kansas.
We have lost several key players due to injuries, etc….but don’t count us out yet.

Kari, a big thanks to all the readers who enjoyed my purple passion tablescape. I’m very flattered.
As for your Jayhawks…we couldn’t believe our WV Mountaineers – 10th in the Big 12 – beat them in Jan. This is the worst team we’ve had in many years. Just today 2 top players (not in my book no way) were dismissed from the team! Word on the street is, “when are the rest being dismissed?” I can’t even watch them.

Rita, I usually cheer for Big 12 teams unless we are playing them. LOL .
I do have a confession to make. I don’t care too much for “Huggy”…ever since he sorta left in the middle of the night from the coaching staff of our arch nemesis, Kansas State, but coaches do what they have to do. And yes, I was shocked that WV beat Kqnsas in Jan (64-65)… but we play you (WV) again on Saturday at Allen FieldHouse…who knows what will happen because we have lost three key players and we have never been this unpredictable. We start with 4 freshmen now, something that is foreign to us. Kentucky and Duke do it all the time, but we usually need more stability. LOL I am actually watching KU play TCU right now and it is nip and tuck!! 🙁

Well Jenna, if you could call it dancing….LOL…it was more like standing and leaning against the Captain and swaying to the music… in one place.

You know I am a romantic at heart….I still believe in Knights in Shining Armor and fairy tales… which may or may not be one in the same!! LOL
I didn’t know you were a KU fan! I went to Wichita State…Go Shockers!
Oh my dear friend Chloe….I live, eat and breathe KU basketball. All our friends know not to invite me and the Captain anywhere when the Jayhawks are playing because basketball will win out every time. When the Captain married me, I was the one with the season tickets for the Jayhawks, the KC Chiefs and the KC Royals. You can take the girl out of Kansas but you can’t take Kansas out of the girl. LOL
Now, having said that, I will acquiesce to the Wichita State Shockers….when in 2015, the Shockers shocked/beat the Jayhawks in the second round of the NCAA tournament. 🙁 . I/We were devastated!!! Tonite is division play and I only hope we can beat them with a depleted squad. Hugs Always
