Who Doesn’t Want A Pretty Chocolate Dessert?

I do like chocolate.

And every now and then…

Well, I decide I just have to have chocolate and so I head into my kitchen and I whip up a batch of brownies.

Only this time I decide to put my brownies into a cast iron skillet and make a round pan of brownies rather than in a square.

For variety you understand.

After the brownies were baked, the Captain and I decided to have our chocolate brownies on the lanai, so I wanted to make them something special.

I cut the brownies in a pie shape and put the brownies on a pretty plate.

But the brownie seemed so alone.

So I added a couple scoops of ice cream.

Ok, I added three, but they are small scoops.

The brownie still seemed a little lonely.

Hot fudge sauce might work….

And if a little hot fudge is good, more is much better right?

Let’s get a little artistic here….

I don’t think you can call it artistic if you accidentally dribble some on the plate, but I won’t tell if you don’t tell.

This is another one of my ‘not taking the time to use a piping bag’ and using a teaspoon to dribble the sauce.

Maybe if I add a little here or a little there….

Oh my goodness!!!!!, the ice cream is melting and the Captain is waiting patiently on the lanai for our dessert.

Gotta run!

Do you ever “decorate” your serving plates with sauces or icings like the fancy chefs do in restaurants?

…..or do you just add it as you see fit?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Hugs and Blessings!

  2. I love to decorate dessert plates when I am hosting a dinner party. It does make it seem so much more special, doesn’t it? If only I were closer…I would pop in for a little brownie and ice cream!

    1. Wouldn’t we have fun eating our brownies and ice cream and chatting up a storm Chloe. We will have to make up for that when we go to Haven.
