My dear friends and family…..
Here I am again….and I am feeling pretty good.
Between my last post and this current one…I have been in 2 hospitals, had a “bleeder” in my stomach (a mammory artery that had to be fixed,’) and a hospital room quarantine because of the virus, an ambulance ride to Tampa, and two covid-19 tests. yuck…..is all I can say about those invasive tests.
but the most important thing….God is leading me through this journey that started almost a year ago. Praise Him.
Yesterday, the Captain drove me for an appointment to Tampa Moffit Cancer Center, to have the feeding tube removed. Of course, he could not go in with me. I’ve gotten used to it because he has not been able to be with me during my last two “visits” and hospital stays. But my heavenly Father is always by my side.
i’m still a bit weak as i have to do a lot of walking to get stronger. Every set-back adds to my recuperation and healing.
Now for the best part….the cancer is gone and my doctor said the only follow-up is regarding my feed tube removal!!!!!!!!!!!! AND if I am not having issues, all is well.
Yay!
Believe me I know the strain of sheltering in place, but we can find pleasure in that too. my daughter has been working outside and inside with clearing and organization. …and of course spending precious time with family.
God bless all of you and thank you for all your prayers.
God DOES answer prayer.
Now, i have to get off the sofa and take another walk around the house and get stronger.
hugs and much love.

Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
11 “Behold, all those who were incensed against you
Shall be ashamed and disgraced;
They shall be as nothing,
And those who strive with you shall perish.
12 You shall seek them and not find them—
[a]Those who contended with you.
Those who war against you
Shall be as nothing,
As a nonexistent thing.
13 For I, the Lord your God, will hold your right hand,
Saying to you, ‘Fear not, I will help you.’

Oh Kari, I read your fabulous good news last week. I read it in the car on my phone (not driving)! and then got busy when I got home and forgot to respond. So happy for you Kari and I’m in awe of your courage. I know you may think you had no choice, but you did so much to help yourself; not least by recognizing there was something wrong and insisting on tests, despite reluctance of your medical clinic. Now you are putting in the hard yards to getting your strength back. I prayed and will continue to pray for your vey best recovery and healing not just from the illness but from the trauma. Don’t expect too much from yourself. Be gentle and kind to yourself. God bless. When we get this virus out of our world PG you will come to Dublin with the Captain.

Praise God! Praise God! I get so excited when I see a post from you Dear Sister! You are such a wonderful inspiration of solid faith and God’s grace walking! I know the walking part! Ugh! I don’t even say the “E” word in our house! I am praying for continued, renewal and strength each day. Thank you for reminding us what “Such a time as this” can mean to us all.! My earthly inconveniences are like grains of sand compared to the mountain Our Father has moved for you!
You inspire me to brush off those grains of sand and focus on the good things resulting from our trials.
Some reality checks I have discovered:
1) I’m still not crafty…my handmade masks look like someone gave a glue gun to a young child who gave up and used duct tape…sadly our masks have replaced our designer bags in status and NO ONE has said to me,”Oh, I LOVE your mask! Whose is it? Is that the Spring collection?”
2) Gray is NOT the new Black or Brunette! Just when I thought that no one would recognize me as they shoved me aside for toilet paper at Sam’s Club..someone did! And they had the nerve to notice my one inch long gray roots! Not even a glance at my remedial mask of the season! I may have to submit and touch up my roots. It is way too hot in SW Florida to wear a burka.
3) I still can’t dance; but I can contort Joyfully! Who cares about skill and style? It is so much more fun to let loose and follow my whims while cleaning house and doing laundry! I just have to have a box of tissues handy as my family is often brought to tears laughing so hard at my efforts!
4) What really matters is not tangible…masks, TP, hand sanitizer, the sadness of finding only one carton of my husband’s favorite ice cream when it is BOGO,..God has consistently answered prayers that are Mountains and grains of sand! He is faithful and true and holds our tomorrow. I am so thankful every day: His plan is better than any of mine, and He knows my heart.
I’m praying for our leaders to lift sanctions at the appropriate time so we can again be social beings and worship in church together! I am hopeful in anticipation but not coloring my hair today!

I am thankful for answered prayers for you. It is great your daughter can be there to help. I know that means so much.
Keep up the good work getting stronger. You can do it. I will continue to pray for complete healing.
These are stressful times. I hate you had to had a Covid test.
Thank you for the scripture.
