2015 Christmas Open House!

Today, I am going to share a few pictures of our friends and our Christmas Open House!  I quit taking pics about an hour into the Open House….so I didn’t get pictures of everyone. :(.!!  Skylark asked me why I wasn’t in the pics that I show…and I told her I don’t do selfies very well and I am not photogenic …however, there is a pic of me in this bunch….it is not a good pic, so I hope no one recognizes me!  haha!

Saturday, the 5th of December the Captain and I hosted our annual Christmas Open House and what a joy it was to see all our old and new friends…mingling in and about our home….nibbling on sweet treats….sugar plums, one might say, I suppose…and sipping on Christmas Wassail or other drinks of cheer…yes, even Coca-Cola and Cream Soda!  

We started at 5 pm and ended about 8 pm, which is why you see the darkness creeping in on some of the photos.  But I will stop talking now and post the pictures ……Some pics were taken before our guests arrived, some during and some after.

2015-12-05_17.41.33[1]Every year, our Christmas Open House turns out to be a joy for the Captain and I.  We had at least 50 guests at our home this year!  We had people in the Secret Garden, people on the Lanai and people all through the house.  We opened all the sliders which made it like one open area from front to back. And of course, there are the Decorated Christmas Trees…There were 8 this year…or 9 if you count the Charlie Brown Christmas Tree.  But that little tree is so simple to decorate with it’s sparse branches and one red droopy ornament.

But it is the people that I love to entertain.

      We miss you and Bud so much Janet….wish you could have been here but we know how much you love Hawaii. I am sure you both are getting your new house all in order and Bud is able to take his early morning walks near the black lava. I know I owe you a letter….more to come!
