Oh my gosh….did you see the live play, “A Christmas Story” !!! on TV this week?
Yep!
I don’t know where I was, but evidently my habit of not watching a lot of TV had me missing the promo’s, etc.
Anyway, I flipped on the TV and there was Ralphie!
Only Ralphie was singing and that little guy did very well.
Did you see it?
At the first commercial, I ran into the kitchen and put some microwave popcorn in the Mic, and while it was popping I raced into the bedroom and donned my cuddle duds getting back into the kitchen as the last kernal popped.
I resisted the urge to grab a Co-Cola (forgive my Midwest pronunciation), instead opting for a bottle of water….apparently, the ARNP (read Nurse Practitioner) thinks I don’t drink enough water and you can draw your own conclusions from that…Perhaps that is TMI !!!!.
…And I raced back to the live performance of “A Christmas Story”!
Yay!
Of course it will never replace the original movie and my “Old Movie tablescape” of last week…you have to admit, that was a pretty cool memory tablescape (click here if you would like to see it)!…But I liked it just the same.
Originally, I wanted to share with you my wheel barrow vignette to show you how easy it is to put a few items together quickly to bring a little Christmas cheer to your coffee table, counter-top or entry table.
I found this cute little wheel barrow On-line, which I filled with extra gold ornaments and a few bits of free greenery from Home Depot.
Did you know Home Depot and Lowes have a bin next to their Fresh tree lots that hold lots of scraps and trimmings of that wonderful smelling greenery and it is there for the taking?
Yep, free of charge.
However, if you want fresh garland for wreaths or for trimming around your entry…they are also there at a very low price. They had bundles for about $7.00. I did not purchase the garlands or wreaths because with our Florida weather, they would be dried out in no time. Using the free greenery branches inside the house is more user friendly.
Did you see the live play? And if you did, I would like to hear your thoughts.
I know you are extra busy right now…Christmas is only a little over a week away…so this post is short.
Merry Christmas from our house to yours.

I missed the live Christmas Story but plan to watch it on my cable on demand feature. It is good to know about the free greenery at Lowes, didn’t know that! Merry Christmas to you and your family.
